Rhodes Scholarships 2022: UK Rhodes Global Scholarships is open to exceptional students around the world whose dream is to study in the UK and in return help change the world they live in.
The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting exceptional all-round students at the University of Oxford. Established in the will of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, the Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world.
The Scholarship aims to nurture public-spirited leaders for the world’s future. Ninety five outstanding young women and men are awarded the Scholarship each year, from 20 Rhodes constituencies (64 countries) worldwide Rhodes Scholars study at the world-class University of Oxford, ranked first internationally in the Times Higher Education rankings 2017.
Scholars may pursue any full-time postgraduate degree (subject to limited restrictions) offered by the University of Oxford, for a duration of 2-3 years. The Scholarship includes full tuition, a maintenance stipend, and flights to and from Oxford at the beginning and end of tenure. Whilst at Oxford Scholars enjoy a comprehensive Rhodes Character, Service & Leadership programme, inclusive of retreats, workshops, conferences, as well as many discussion and social events at Rhodes House, Oxford. The Rhodes Scholarship is a lifelong, intergenerational fellowship of over 5000 individuals, resident in over 100 countries worldwide.

Students from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, East Africa (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi), Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Jamaica & the Commonwealth Caribbean, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and Swaziland), Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine (SJLP), United Arab Emirates, United States, West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, the island of Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, São Tomé and Principe, and Togo), Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
For students who are not under existing Rhodes constituencies, you can apply to Global Rhodes Scholarships.
A Rhodes Scholarship covers: All University and College fees; the University application fee; a living stipend (£15,900 per annum 2019-20); settling in allowance (£225 in 2019-20), health insurance, visa, two economy class flights – to and from the UK – for the beginning and end of studies in Oxford.

Applications for Rhodes Scholarships open during the spring and summer of the preceding year, normally 1 June or 1 July. Deadline varies per country but is around July-October of the preceding year you wish to study.
