We’re seeking a Data Protection Officer to help us improve our management of potentially sensitive information, carry out regular internal security audits, and act as the main point of contact between PalmPay and the data protection authorities.

Job Title: Data Protection Officer

Job Summary
- Act as the primary point of contact within the organization for members of staff, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to data protection
- Ensure the company’s policy is in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and codes of practice
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
- Devise training plans and provide data protection advice and support for members of staff
- Inform and advise the Data Controller or Data Processor on all matters related to data protection
- Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all units of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Inform and advise the organization, Management, employees and third-party processors of their obligations under the NDPR.
- Monitor compliance with the NDPR and with the organization’s own data protection objectives.
- Assign responsibilities, raise awareness and train members of staff involved in processing operations.
- Advice on data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance.
- Liaise with NITDA and/or the DPCO on data protection matters.
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues.
- Maintain records of all data processing activities carried out by the organization.
- Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Carry out such other responsibilities as assigned accordingly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related writing and presentation software
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in data protection compliance or a related field
- Expertise in The Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and NITDA Act 2007.
- Knowledge of and understanding of Data Security
- Experience within a legal, audit and/or risk function department
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

- We’re looking for an experienced Treasury Specialist who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa and inquisitive about the Fintech space in Nigeria and the rest of the world. In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Responsibility for accurate and timely fund related report.
- Monitor daily cash position and cash flow with funding arrangement
- Daily liquidity forecast, cash flow analysis to ensure the forecast quality
- Bank/wallet account management, including account opening/closing
- Solve the fund related issues with related partners effectively.
- Maintain good business relationship
- Work with the business to optimize business performance and planning
- Evaluate capital expenditure, investment activity and portfolio management
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and other related courses
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Treasury Specialist
- Understand the requirements of working with highly Technical Stakeholders
- Strong treasury background
- Good knowledge of capital market, accounting, finance and tax
- Very good communication, presentation, organizational and writing skills
- Flexible attitude and a willingness to seek new challenges
- Can handle ambiguity and solve problems despite uncertainties
- Self-motivated, quick learner and can deliver results with minimal supervision
