Yahaya Bello, Kogi State Governor, has reacted to the gory robbery incident that occurred in Isanlu on Thursday.
The robbers attacked a police station and a First Bank in the area, resulting in the death of citizens and security operatives.
Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed in Lokoja, the State capital wrote the statement by Mr. Bello in which he asked security personnel to fetch the ugly incident perpetrators saying that: “Our open arms is no invitation to criminals” and that their responsibility as a government is to ensure the security of lives and property in the state. The bank robbery was a recurrence decimal in Kogi state before the current administration”.
In his statement, he said that together with all security agencies in the state, He will end the regime of this form of crime since 2017, and will not allow this to reverse the gains we have recorded in protecting the lives and property of our people.
He, therefore, commiserates the family of those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate attack.
