His earnest plea was that developed countries should render assistance to poor countries in this dire time of need as they fight against coronavirus is of top priority.
He also reiterated that the world has changed drastically dues to the Coronavirus. He aims to reduce the challenges African countries face as he requests financial institutions and developed countries for the cancelation of debts through a virtual meeting.
The president warned that the “every man for himself attitude” could result in serious consequences for the World at large.
Standing together as we fight this pandemic is our sure way to ensure the quick recovery for economies and societies.
He admonished Nigerians to support the efforts of the federal government in securing more loans to develop the country, revealing that Nigeria’s economy has the capacity to handle more loans.
Femi Adesina, the presidential media aide, had previously reported when he called from his Aso Rock office to answer questions during a program on Fresh FM that there is nothing wrong with the federal government borrowing to finance developmental projects that will benefit the Nigerian economy.
