JAMB releases Cut-off Marks for All Universities, Polytechnics, and College of Educations – Jamb has announced the cut-off marks for all universities, polytechnics and college of Educations in Nigeria hence the 2019/2020 JAMB UTME Candidates who passed the cut-off mark should get ready for their Post UTME examination while does that did not reach the cut-off mark of the tertiary Institution of their choice should do Change of Course to any Institution that they pass the cut-off mark.

2019 Jamb Cut-off mark for Private and Public Universities
JAMB officials has announced that the cut off mark for the public or federal universities will be 160 and the cut-off mark for private universities will be 140, therefore JAMB candidates who beat this UTME scores should get ready for their Post UTME examinations

JAMB also approved 120 as the Cut-off mark for Public polytechnics and 110 for Private Polytechnics for 2019 JAMB UTME candidates.

For colleges of education, 100 and above was approved as the cut-off marks
JAMB Gives Update on the Cut-off mark for 2019/2020 UTME examination
The JAMB officials have approved cut-off marks for 2019/2020 admission into tertiary institutions in the country.
The officials made this known to the public during the 19th policy meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions in Nigeria on 11th of June, 2019 in Gbongan, Osun, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
During the meeting, 160 was approved as minimum score for admission seekers into public universities while 140 was approved for private universities.
The policy meeting, which was presided by Prof. Isaq Oloyede, JAMB registrar, also approved 120 cut-off marks for public polytechnics and 110 for private polytechnics for admission seekers and for colleges of education, 100 and above was approved as the cut-off marks.
The closing date for admission into universities was also discussed in the meeting. The vice chancellors of universities, rectors of polytechnics and provosts of colleges of education were all present in the policy meeting. During the meeting, JAMB approved 19th of December, 2019 for close of admission into public universities and 15th of February, 2020 for private universities.
The JAMB registrar said that admission into all universities would be conducted on Central Admission Processing System.
He also stated that JAMB is not responsible for the fixing of cut-off marks for tertiary institutions but rather a consensus between the institutions and stakeholders at the policy meeting.
Joel Ojo, director of tertiary institutions, Federal Ministry of Education, who represented minister of education, mention in his statement that the outcome of the recent investigation of the UTME registration of candidates carried out by the JAMB Admissions was a pointer that the examination industry requires a review.
Ojo said JAMB Policy Meeting remains the acceptable forum where plans and programmes for admissions are discussed and approved to guide the placement of qualified candidates to tertiary institutions.
