Job Description

  • To direct and manage the increase of the width and depth of allotment, which would definitely transform into achieving revenues and increase channel satisfaction levels
  • To develop distinction in distribution through effective market planning and ensuring the product availability within the consumer reach and gaining market share from the rivalry

Task and Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Distribution Design & Structure:

  • Distribution funds mapping and optimization of the distribution assets created.
  • Set up a planned channel partner entry into the system with a system of assessment and review

Optimize channel partners’ returns in terms of ROI and guarantee equally healthy return):

  • Evaluate current channel structure and widen the Naira spent on the channel, wherever required
  • Ensure trade partner training on new initiatives (products, incentives and processes)
  • Confirm channel partner schemes & payouts to guarantee an accurate and efficient administration

 
Direct Analytics and Performance Monitoring (Reporting):

  • Ensure quality process and Monitor Distribution led Management Information Systems and target
  • Evaluate Information to facilitate review and action plan at the zonal, district, town level
  • Use analysis to improve geographical spread and Brand presence
  • Provide a Summary Analysis to Assist Executive Management in profit-making & Strategic decision making

Compel the progress of channel satisfaction levels:

  • Rollout channel satisfaction study/survey and oversee the implementation of corrective action plan
  • Understand results and actualize products campaign to bridge gaps and motivate channel growth and satisfaction

Ensure reliability and standardization of delivery documentation:

  • Supervise the Development of Channel operating manuals and standards definition
  • Ensure the standardization of processes
  • Guarantee and observe conformity to applicable guidelines

Network Utilization:

  • Drive and Plan new town launches
  • Expand tactics to Improve utilization of low utilized sites

Alternating Distribution:

  • Define limits for Alternating channels’ partner selection
  • Partnership with selected partners for roll out of new societies, increasing effectiveness and driving gross adds & revenue

Coordinate Trade partner management processes:

  • Define SLA’s for internal processes, monitor achievement of defined SLA objectives to ensure an effective and flawless boundary to all touch points

Create a capable and motivated Distribution team to make a high performance team environment:

  • Employ the right talent in conference with function head, as per defined employment guidelines
  • Set up performance expectations and normal individual performance reviews
  • Recommend appropriate rewards and recognition (e.g. implement Sales Incentive structure)
  • Expand and encourage team members through planned training and on the job coaching

Develop other Products Route to Market:

  • Current Trade
  • Statistics

Important Skill and Experience

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) would be number one additional qualification
  • 6 Years of Experience in Sales, Dealer network, Channel management in reputable organizations preferably in the FMCG industry
  • At least 3 years in a senior management role
  • Experience in Telecoms would be an additional advantage
  • Job requires extensive travel
