Rivers State University Teaching Hospital formerly known as Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (abbreviated as BMSH) is a government-owned hospital, named after Eldred Curwen Braithwaite, a British doctor and a surgery pioneer. It is located in Old GRA, Rivers State a neighbourhood of Port Harcourt, and is operated by Rivers State Hospital Management Board.

Following the approval of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, for employment of Medical & Health Workers into the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, eligible candidates are welcome to apply to fill the underlisted vacant positions in the Hospital

Job Requirements

1. Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree /  HND or its equivalent in the relevant discipline
2. Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 50 years of age
3. Possess the minimum qualifications for the position he/she is applying for.
4. Applicants who apply for more than one (1) position will be disqualified
5. Must not be in the Rivers State Government Service.
