Job Description
- As a learning and development manager, you will be responsible for identifying training and development needs within an organization.
- You would help employees advance their skills and knowledge and work closely with the business process team and the human resources (HR) department to design and implement training and development programs.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping people learn and grow and possess excellent communication skills. Experience designing e-learning courses and managing budgets, which would be an advantage.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Developing employee learning plans
- Developing and implementing learning strategies and programs
- Designing e-learning courses, career plans, and workshops
- Creating and executing learning strategies and programs
- Create a competency assessment model to monitor and review the progress of trainees
- Evaluating training and development of new and existing staff
- Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems
- Keeping up-to-date with developments in training
- Having an understanding of different learning techniques and methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
- Recommending various methods to grow and retain talent.
- Evaluating individual and organizational training and development needs
- Assessing the success of development plans and helping employees make the most of learning opportunities
- Helping managers develop their team members through career pathing
- Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants
- Produce training materials
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc / BA in Business, Psychology or a related field
- Certified professional in learning performance (CPLP certification) will give your application and edge.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manger or a similar position
- Strong communication and negotiation skills٫ with a good ability to build relations with employees and vendors;
- Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking.
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Good knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices
- Practical experience with MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
