We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Solvent Extraction Operator
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Purpose of the Job
- To extract oil from palm kernel/soya cake with good quality and productivity.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the equipment used for the extraction of oil from palm kernel/soya cake to ensure good quality and productivity. .
- Inspect the feed hopper to ensure the free flow of the cake on the bed through the sight glass in the extractor.
- Control the flow of pure hexane into the extractor.
- Operate the solvent extraction plant properly and purge it of vapors when necessary.
- Record indicator reading test results.
- Assist in the routine maintenance of all SEP equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements in the assigned work process.
- Ensure that the hexane introduced into the extractor is at the proper temperature.
- Periodically check the level of the full miscella compartment.
- Control the flow of miscella from the tank at 50% above.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates should possess a NABTEB/ Trade Test
- 5 O’ Level Credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar.

Job Title: Degumming Operator
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Description
- To produce crude degummed neutralized soya oil through an automated process.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the equipment used for the production of crude degummed neutralized soya oil.
- Ensure preparation and proper dosage of phosphoric acid, caustic soda, and other materials for degumming in a safe manner.
- Ensure prompt monitoring of chemical reactions to avoid oil loss.
- Prepare and submit reports of production.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements in the assigned work process.
- Report problems with regard to the FSMS to the food safety Team/Leader or any other person specified via appropriate identification within the factory.
- Ensure adequate receipt of Crude Soya oil from the Tank Farm into the system and ensure constant supply of same.
- Ensure all operating parameters are recorded and optimized for consistent quality of CDNSO.
