The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that there is no minimum uniform Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) score for Tertiary Institutions i.e Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in the country.
The Head of Media and Information of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who announced this during an interview yesterday in Abuja, said that UTME mark was not the sole determinant for placement of candidates in tertiary institutions
The spokesman explained that the decisions at the yearly policy meeting on admission do not collide with the minimum prescriptions of institutions, except for the few ones whose cut-offs fall below the benchmark of the board.
