Watford Craig Dawson’s late bicycle kick seals a 1-1 draw against Leicester City on their return to Premier League action after a thrilling finale at Vicarage Road.
Ben Chilwell’s 90th minute strike looked to have given the Leicester all three points but Dawson’s acrobatic effort saw Watford share the points.
Leicester midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure missed the best chance of a lackluster first half, firing straight at Kasper Schmeichel after Troy Deeney had intercepted the ball from Wilfred Ndidi on the edge of the Leicester box.
Moments after the restart, Ismaila Sarr had an even better opening after being sent clear by Etienne Capoue but Schmeichel was out sharply to make a wonderful stop.
Caglar Soyuncu should have found the net with a header from close range after James Maddison’s terrific free-kick delivery, though VAR may have ruled him too have been marginally offside.
Leicester City thought they have won it late on when Marc Albrighton hit the woodwork with a strong strike before, seconds later, Maddison looked to have found the far corner only to be denied by an excellent low save from Ben Foster.
Chilwell then did put them ahead with a magnificent strike, finally beating Foster and putting the ball into the net off the woodwork, but Dawson hit back to square things up.
