Three Manchester United youngsters have been nominated for 2020 Golden Boy award.
The prestigious award is given to the best young player in Europe who is under the age of 21 and is judged on their performances across the last calendar year.
The award is run by Italian Publication Tuttosport, the award starts with a 100-man longlist of the best players before cutting 20 players each month until a final 20-name shortlist is revealed. The final five are then announced before the winner is chosen.
Manchester United trio Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and James Garner have all been named on the initial shortlist for the trophy and will now battle some of the best talent in European football for the win.
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is the current holder of the award, with Matthijs de Ligt and Kylian Mbappe having both also won it in the past three years.
This year sees plenty of competition for the award with Borussia Dortmund duo Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho both early favourites for victory, while Ansu Fati and Alphonso Davies have both also enjoyed an excellent season.
Wayne Rooney, Anderson, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial have all won the award since it began in 2003 with United having had more winners of the award than any other club.
Last year United young stars Tahith Chong, Gomes and Diogo Dalot were all nominated for the award which was won by Portugal international Felix.
